Juneteenth Open House @ the DRC

In honor of the Juneteenth holiday, the museum is open from 12-4 on June 19. Visitors can learn the powerful stories of Black and white men and women here in Florence who fought against slavery and for equality in the years before the Civil War. We especially want to highlight on this holiday local heroes Sojourner Truth, David Ruggles, and the self-emancipated men and women who for a time found community in this neighborhood.
